Yeah, when someone lists a number you can text them at in their profile, they're likely a scammer, aren't they?

Yup. No person in their right mind would post their telephone number on a public dating site for all to see. You'll see a lot of scammers on free dating sites.

The Smartest thing to do is stay on site til you know them pretty dang well.
Then when you are ready to move off site.. Use a throw away email addy...Not an email that has your personal business comes into... |

I am new to this but I wished i knew if the person that says that loves me is a scammer. met her here in mingle and seven days later she wanted to meet me but wanted me to help her with her ticket to come which i did. then she came out with this excuse that the guy who she was dealing with her ticket disappeared and wanted me to send her more money to be able to fix things. now she is asking me to send her more so she can pay someone to stand for her to get a loan and come. I did fell in love with her but don't know what else to believe or what to do.

So strange. Just joined a few days ago and got a message from a much younger man with a phone number and request to text. My first thought was scammer. Do you report them or just ignore them?
