Check out their area code and phone #.... If it comes back as a IP address they are fakes and scammers.
There is no way that one states on their profile that they live in NY with a phone # in Bermuda

I wonder too why someone would give their phone# and/or email on very first message. A scammer, very desperate or just sends the same thing to 100 people with no thought.

I think it's good that scammers are stupid, and usually have broken English.. 99% of em are not hard to spot.. That's why I can't figure out why there are so many here??

There is a system already in place to handle suspected scammers,
upper right of every profile 'Report This User.'
