i am visiting Stockholm, and possibly Goteborg next spring, my friend lives there and i have never visited him there.

i had my honeymoon in Paris, some of it was very nice, some of it no so, which is why i didn't include it on my list

Cambridge?? nice enough place but must be an American thing about loving it, i've never understood the attraction much.

It was the shops in Cambridge, for me.
I left the tour and simply took the subway around.
Walked the wee shops for hours, chatting with the shopowners.

One shop, the lady sold antiques.
I was in there an hour before I asked her about an item
and shipping it home.
She said, all apologetic, "Oh I can't sell that one."

So I looked some more, asked about another item.

"I can't sell that one either, and told a long story about it.

Finally I said, "Can you sell anything in here?"

She ruminated a bit and said, "No, not really."

Then she made us tea.

She had had that shop for years..apparently just to be able to
share and talk with people.
Made a lasting impression on me, so, Cambridge would be my favorite.

Even though they boiled all the food.

that's fantastic!

wonder if her shop is still there? if its like most town centre's in the UK it will be a betting shop or a pound shop or a nail spa!
