Ahmed Mohamed to visit the White House Monday



IRVING -- The Irving boy handcuffed for taking a homemade clock to school is making a special trip to the White House on Monday.

Ahmed Mohamed, 14, will meet with President Obama. The president was hoping to see the invention that sparked a huge conversation nationwide, but it's still with Irving police.

Mohamed is scheduled to enjoy a night of science and stargazing on the South Lawn. The president personally invited him out for Astronomy Night.
The high school freshman, who has since withdrawn from the Irving Independent School District following his arrest, arrived in Washington, D.C. over the weekend.

He was honored Sunday night by the largest Muslim Civil Rights Group in the country, receiving the "American Muslim of the Year Award."

Clock? I thought it looked like a bomb or a timer for one.

Irving Mayor Van Duyne questioned why the White House was so quick to applaud the freshman student, and she didn't call his clock a "clock."
"In fact," the mayor said, "I don't even think the picture of the hoax bomb was released before [President Obama] tweeted out, 'Cool clock, kid.'"

The mayor said teachers and police are getting death threats. Irving ISD spokeswoman Leslie Weaver confirmed that some troubling communications have been turned over to police. A police spokesman said the department is also receiving some comments that are strong enough to document.

As has been demonstrated on a couple YouTube videos, all the kid did was take two screws out of a digital clock, dump out the contents, and throw them in a metal pencil case.

The 'clock' was hardly homemade, and doesn't qualify as an invention, so he's simply going to the WH as a Muslim teen with a criminal record. Lots of those in America, so why him?

His older sister had been chucked out of school for threats as well, but she apparently declined to 'fight back' and instead propelled her brothers case forward from the sidelines. She even went so far as to sit in on a phone call Ahmed got from Shark Tank star Mark Cuban. Cuban says he ended the call when he could hear her providing Ahmed with answers to his questions.

The kids father is a well known Muslim social crusader, and so many feel this whole deal was a set up.

Irving's mayor and city council recently passed anti-Sharia law ordinances in Irving.

Ahmed Mohamed, the Texas youth who was briefly detained Sept. 14 when he brought a clock-like device that looked like a bomb in to school, met with Sudan's genocidal dictator Oct. 13.

That visit may prove embarrassing to President Barack Obama, whose science deputy personally invited the boy to an Oct. 19 science fair in the extended White House grounds.

Mohamed was invited to the White House after progressives and the media accepted and broadcast his claim that the arrest was prompted by unreasonable anti-Muslim and anti-African views supposedly prevalent among cops in Irving.

On October 13, Ahmed, his sisters and his Sudan-born father flew out of Saudi Arabia into Sudan, a theocratic Muslim state that split into two states after waging a long war against Christian and tribal minorities in the south of the country.

It's so genocidal that the International Criminal Court has posted a warrant for Bashir's arrest. So theocratic that Bashir was Osama bin Laden's host for several years. In March, Obama's Secretary of State, John Kerry, posed for a photo with Bashir, to the displeasure of left-wing outlets. In a tweet, the Texas-born boy described Sudan as his "home".
