I won't say single mom or dad. I will say single parent. We both share a lot of the same concerns. I wouldn't say all of those who haven't raised children are selfish, I'm definitely not! I was in a long term relationship with someone who had 2 until she messed up. I'm involved greatly with my great nieces who I spoil rotten. I even take them to the zoo to see tiger, my pet tiger who I had to put in the zoo as he got to big  I think it's more the world we live in that has made many people selfish though. Mikey, you had a pet tiger? When you visit him in the zoo does he recognize you?  No, but a 6 years old loves the idea and tells all her friends! I did a similar thing a few years ago with another great niece. She thought I was a spy, it was great fun. even going to the m16 headquarters in London, she's 10 now and just gives me that look when we speak about It's all fun and a great thing for young imagination. |
