The election of the next president took on a strange turn, most networks tossed around who they thought were the next president...from declaring Gore the next president, then Bush...then....., till....the United States Supreme Court declared Bush to be the president..., my question to you..., were you ok with that...or not?

2000, was proof beyond any doubt, that Gore is a whiny little idiot.

Since I began voting, and I have not missed a
Presidential election, every candidate I have
voted for has won.

The one EXCEPTION being, I voted for Gore.
He probably actually won but the ozone held
on to that hanging chad just a little too long.

It seemed a wee wanky to me at the time because
his brother happened to be Governor of the state
that had the issue. And it swung his bro's way.
Huh.

All that may be true, but Florida wouldn't have mattered had Gore won his home state.

Even Walter Mondale won his home state in 1984 while losing the other 49.

Kind of a vague question.

No, I was not okay with the never-resolved mess that was the election of 2000. Unfortunately, we'll never know what really happened now.

A Republican controlled Supreme Court, decided that a Republican controlled State government could stop making any more effort to insure that their report of the actual votes of American citizens was accurate, and the result was a Republican being elected President.

VERY bad for the reputation of everyone concerned.

It set in motion, a move to change voting machinery around the country, and even that attempt at a "repair" of the system, has opened the door to even MORE cheating.

So no, I am not remotely "okay" with it all. I want discovered problems to be calmly and carefully RESOLVED. Not swept under the rug and dismissed.
