There are many layers that surround and protect us
Walls built from when we were very young
What society tells us is normal or not
Media and political monsters that divide us
They tell us who and what is acceptable or not
The simple things in life have been lost
Hidden beneath the dark layers of indoctrination
Colors, cultures and religions are just bricks in these walls
Held fast by the mortar of propaganda and deceit
A need to fit in outweighs the truth
Why do we listen, Why do we care
Peel away the barriers and bare the soul
To find someone who just wants to love and be loved
When you look deep enough,can you see the real person that dwells there?
