I don't know I'll get back to you when I find the place..
But for right now I'm pretty happy where I live... great City great people..
Okay the roads kind of suck..grr
And they have way too much photo radar..grrrrr. and they just put a new hockey arena downtown..grrrrrrr. Plus they are building a new provincial Museum also putting that downtown..
The old location was beautiful right -up on the riverbank... it was a perfect spot for the museum.. children visiting could get a very good view of the river valley... now when they visit the new Museum all they're going to see is concrete.grrrrrrr... you know what screw it I'm moving..lol

For me, I cannot think of a more beautiful place then Vancouver Island off west coast where I am now. Nice beaches and great salmon fishing, even just boating , so many places and islands to check out. Just an overall mild climate place that you can get lost in the beauty. waving

I'm not really sure, but I know it will still be in in the United States where I have always lived.

My 'place' is an island too...but not in the same sense as most. I spent a good bit of my teenage years... and a lot of my 20s and 30s, on an island between the Mississippi River levee....hunting and fishing....and just plain beauty and peace and quiet.
Sort of a modern day Huck Finn adventure. Somewhere near there is my dream home.

Come ON Lottery! laugh

while there are many places I might like to travel, I like living in my little corner of the world.

I used to love it also but have found it to commercialised now, other than the weather you may as well run down to Seattle.

Im not surprised to hear this . Many of the places we dream of are only idealistic from a tourist's point of view. Im still looking forward to visiting some day :)

You have to see it for yourself to realize whether you like it or not. I tend to like places that are laid back and not overtaken by outsiders. I met a true 80 year old Hawaiian some years ago in Hong Kong and we talked about his homeland and he sat there in front of me and cried. Finally he said he has no homeland any more, it has been stripped of culture by the whites and Japanese. He was so sad that he would never see his home again as it was. Sorry for the long quote.

anywhere in the world?? well.. I haven't been EVERYwhere.. yet.. but of the places I HAVE been.. I gladly live in Valletta, Malta! WOW.. mind blowing.. lots of culture, and not many tourists.. beautiful architecture and history.. amazing people.. very laid back with a simplistic, natural beauty.. awesome cuisine and not pricey, like most might think, and the azure ocean.. mmmmm! love a close second would be Athens! similar to Malta although a little more crowded.. but the people are really friendly, the prices-fantastic! and the FOOD.. ta die for bigsmile

as I said though.. haven't been everywhere YET so that may change in time..

I live on an island too.. Nut's Island (only in Quebec whoa laugh) it's in the country.. love peace'n quiet, and of course boating etc in the summer! Love it!!
