What types of JDM cars do you like? NA or turbo?

If I were buying a Japanese Domestic Market car, I think I would want the Naturally aspirated engine. Then build the motor very stout and add a couple stages of Nitrous. Turbo cars have that inevitable lag, and add a lot of weight, (all that intercooler plumbing and the turbo itself) and heat. At least with the NA car you'll probably get better gas mileage, less heat and weight and less expense if you know how to build a motor. (i.e. Have all the machine shop work done and then assemble the motor yourself). While you have the motor out don't forget to add a racing clutch, pressure plate, flywheel and throw out bearing to handle all that horsepower. Stepping up the differential gears will also help. Then race it only at a track, NOT on the street. If you are in the market for a JDM, a quick and easy method for increasing your 1/4 mile times is to take out the hydraulic clutch unit and remove that stupid ball bearing and spring in the unit. It's put there so people who are not very good with a clutch, allows the clutch to be released slowly to prevent stalling. Get rid of it and you can start banging shifts. The car will hook up better. If its FWD hang on to that wheel cause they can be a handful!
