I'm pretty new to all this so forgive me if I'm naive or stupid but why on earth would a guy have multiple FB accounts??
I chatted briefly to a guy who seemed ok and looked friendly in his photo and Facebook was mentioned so as you do I checked him out. Luckily he wasn't called Smith - in fact his name was unusual so he was easily found. But imagine getting a list up and counting easily more than 10 profiles for him with different forenames!!! I felt a bit uneasy so had a nosey and none had much to reveal but the locations differed and he ranged from being seperated to divorced to widowed.
Please can someone explain to me why someone would do that? I am genuinely scratching my head!!! I find it boring just keeping up with my one account - he must be worn out
Do you think he's a scammer or just a womaniser?

Surely someone can enlighten me?? Anyone else had a similar experience?

On all these accounts were the same pictures ?

I would ask for a picture that isn't on the internet period. I know that Pancho and I did that way way back
My son doesn't have a common name. And well if a person googles him
several accounts come up for him. Only when you click on each one does one see they are indeed different.


I have 2.. One I never use..Too much family drama, I refuse to become involved. Now I have one that I allow select few on it. They are friends, BF etc. I wouldn't even have that but I run a private support group on FB...

I personally don't chat on FB.. When I was single I stayed here til I was really comfortable. Then I moved to a throwaway email account that wasn't linked to anything to come back to me.

they weren't all the same photo - but they were 100% the same guy. Some in his military uniform, some just head and shoulder etc etc.

Maybe I'm just naive. I had a hell of a night in here last night and ended up deleting my account - but came back this morning as I'm enjoying the forum. Chatting to guys is quite a minefield

My wife has two accounts. Originally one for family and friends and another for some of her friends and others that she posted jokes and stories on that she felt uncomfortable posting on her main site (I was never allowed to see what she posted there.
Since we are split up I have no idea what she uses them for now.
I have two twitter accounts. One is just general stuff about things I find interesting and the other is only Tennis.

I have a friend however who discovered he had two sites. One was his and had all his stuff on it. The other was created by someone else but had his pictures etc. I guess it was the start of an attempt to steal his identity.

If the guy really has 10 Facebook accounts; I would call that a flaming red flag. I can't say why for sure, but it sure sounds sketchy.

I have two Facebook accounts - one for gaming, and one for friends & family. It's hard to imagine why anyone would have more than 2 ... but 10?
