it's all a choice... people are born with no sexual desires, they acquire them later in life, which is a choice everyone makes... i'm pretty sure thats what the article is saying...

You choose to go through puberty?

you choose who you have sex with...no matter how anyone looks at it, that's the choice...

In the end its the woman that chooses who I have sex with.

There is a huge difference between choosing to have sex with someone
and
Choosing to desire someone

In fact we have little if any control over who or what we desire. We do have choice as to which desires we act on though.

Social and Environmental experiences and influences in my opinion play the biggest role of all and then the determining result is individual preference and choice

You are correct.

A south Philadelphia community college survey found that infants who had to sit there and watch Richard Simmons work out T.V. shows day after day while their Mom tended the house wind up growing up to be.. well.. you know.

you have a choice to keep it in your pants or not, regardless of what you're attracted to... that choice will never change

Sadly ignorance is what it is ! There may not be any shame in being ignorant but there certainly is in the desire to remain ignorant . even if there was no evidence ( but there certainly is ) absence of evidence is not evidence of absence .

Yup. Again. Lack of proof is not proof of the opposite. And if you read what was said, instead of relying on the entirely misleading headline, you also find little things like this:

"But there is some evidence from the twin studies that certain genetic profiles probably increase the likelihood the person later identifies as gay or engages in same-sex sexual behavior."

This is like saying "we can't prove anyone is born gay or straight, but we do see that some people are born sort-of gay-ish."

I'd definitely fire whoever wrote that title, for simple incompetence.

Personal aside, since sexuality and sexual likes and dislikes and tendencies have proven to be EXTREMELY varied and complicated, I am expecting that the biological determinants of that sexuality will likewise be EXTREMELY varied and complicated.

i think it would mean more of "people born with certain gene variants has a higher percentage to be gay rather than not gay"

some were, just in the same way some gay people are taught to be gay by the constant bombardment of the gaydom we see everyday, everywhere...

"Studying children for a total of 3 years, doesnt constitute adequate time" The twins' study wasnt scientific at all.

Gay ppl have told me they knew they were different, coincidentally, at the age of 5.

We are not to judge. Most gay ppl have told me they wished they werent different and that its been a very difficult life.

Johns Hopkins doesnt mean a thing to me. They understaff their hospitals on a regular basis, have some with semi private rooms, which are big safety concerns for the public and employee safety also. Infectious diseases, HIPPA, family able to stay with a patient, nursing job related stress, patients able to sleep and rest, CAN you IMAGINE using the same bathroom as your room mate in a hospital with today's illnesses? Its all about money..... THEIRS.
That report didnt show much evidence to support their conclusion, considering how much money they may have received from Federal Grants to conduct it. Hogwash!

didnt say they arent. Most ppl have had a tough time, and society will pay a huge price for 'social media'. It encourages detached, isolated lives. The lack of human touch, voice, smell, eye contact, emotion (not emoticons), is not natural. There is already documentation of increased depression, anxiety and other mental disorders since its start. I prefer the world of 'voice mail, phones at home, (cells are good for emergencies though, but not for human tracking), drop by and visit, meet me in town, etc. in other words human contact. Fakebook etc have been around for what less than 10 years, just wait and see what happens.

By the same specious logic gays being bombarded by heterosexual behavior would then become straight... Silly fuzzy thinking..

At the age of 5?.. they knew they were gay?

At 5, I still considered it my pee-pee.. and I was still wearing Batman underwear.. and these people knew they were gay?

heterosexual is the natural, normal way of things...if it wasn't, than then life would have died out hundreds of millions of years ago... your point is not valid here...
