I was on the Jersey side of the Hudson river. Me and my two sons watched both towers come down... totally surreal.. totally. We didn't say a word.. couldn't. My town set up emergency triage centers at the ferry piers... preparing for the injured to be sent over. 100's of professionals were at the ready. of course there were no survivors. My brother (NYFD) was in tower 2, he survived. Many of his men did not. My other brother was there as well NYC DOT. He survived as well. The smell.. the smoke..is something I will never forget. Thank God that your family survived...  Watching it on T.V. was bad enough I can't imagine how it would have been to "actually see it" |

Three months before 9/11 I was having dinner at Windows of the World. I am glad I kept my photos and receipt from the trip. It was a wonderful trip but in the same thought my heart is broken for all who have lost their loved ones that horrible day.
