I have no idea why the majority of ppl care about age .. I don't care .. I think matures are more attractive than young girls .. That's my opinion .. Nd u ??

Age may well be just a number but it has a nasty habit of getting bigger every year. :)

Sometimes it does matter. What does a 60 yr old have in common with a 20 yr old? What about underage? I don't want to date someone my son's age.

To each their own as long as all are adults. For me....no thanks

People like what they like. Some like younger and others don't. If someone isn't into me for whatever reason....move on. No biggie. I am 45 and my son is 25....no ty. I don't date younger than 5 yrs. My perogative. My and women mature differently as well

I have always happened to like the more older gentleman myself. Though I have dated younger recently, and I think it really comes down to how one handles themselves. drinker

gotta deal with yall selves before dating younger ones. Like u said, age us just number. Sometime younger ones could be better than the adults.

I agree, age is just a number. I don't think I look my age and have only met a couple that are older who can keep up. I've met some that are 12 yrs younger that I have more in common with.

Hey I believed this til my daughter told me she was dating a guy that turns 21 this month and has a daughter turn 18 next month..

I am like WTH do you have in common with him ..

I want some one that can at least relate to my generation...
Good grief..

All younger guys wanna make it with an older chic. But it sucks. You can't relate to anything. For me it's 5 years forward or back. That's it. Besides these kiddies are still wearing their training shorts. It's a waste of time. Let them mingle with youngguns, till they get a personality. Until then, they are just rookies. Imo.

Age is not just a number.
It's an argument ppl use to support their own interest in either a lot older or a lot younger. So they use it cos it suits them.
But it sure as heck is not just a number.

I used to say '5 yrs either way' too, but I even question that. 5 yrs younger could match me with a man 45 yrs old, and I think the gap would be too much. Men usually are less mature than women, even at this age. No offense nor judgement btw, just fact.

The one who has my interest is 4 yrs older, and I must say I like that a lot, more than I ever thought I would. His level of maturity, doubt I could find that with a younger man, even if he was just 3 yrs younger than me.

Your daughter ... you really think that's a problem??? I mean, that age does put them in the same category... Girls/women mature sooner than guys...
18 and 21 is only 3 yrs apart and typically a good match as far as maturity is concerned.

Well Number one I shouldn't had put this out here.
No she is 38 the new guy, she is dating, turned 21 this month her daughter will be 18 next month..

I guess I never thought about it til this issue happened and I am seeing the drama in the family... between herself and her children over her dating someone in their age category.

So yes to me age does matter.

I don't see age as very important in a relationship, but more the person themselves. When and if the right one does come along I would not be put off by any age difference although they would need to be free to marry.

Age does matter to me.
I don't think I could ever date a man who is younger than me... I wouldn't get from him that feeling of protection that I love.
And I certainly don't need anther son!

My last relationship was with a man 19 years older than me and it didn't work just because he turned out to be morbid jealous!
Some of my friends said that maybe he couldn't handle having a much younger gf... I don't know.
