If you don't know the past, well then history will repeat itself. We may have a black President, but the moment he took office he has screwed the African American over. The only thing he does is place the race baiting game really well.

Does anyone remember Byron De La Beckwith, a Democrat who ran for many political offices and was a Klansman. You might remember he killed Medgar Evers, the got off at trial because Democratic Governor Ross Barnett (himself a Klansman) interrupted the trial to shake Beckwith's hand and made him out to be a hero and because of that he got off.

Barnett also fought for segregation while Governor, including at times violating Federal Laws on racial issues that were passed by Congress and the Eisenhower Administration.

Barnett was also a close friend of President Johnson.

That would make sense since today's Dems sure would like to forget (or at least have the people forget) all the abuses they have made against the Constitution and the peoples rights and laws under it.

no, I was saying the SOUTH, which was the conservative region wishing to have SMALLER GOVERNMENT And focus on STATES RIGHTS, in maintaining the discriminatory institution of slavery and segregation USED to be represented by the democratic party

but now is represented by the republican party
