What gets me is that most people think they are important enough to hack. The reality is, those that can, don't care about you and your little lives. They're watching bigger fish.

this comment^^ gets right to the crux of the matter, all of
you foil-hatters out there should read it again...

thanks Tom4,
good to see a rational perspective presented once in a while..

You're welcome.
That perspective came to me from experience.
I thought 17 years dedicated service to my employer mattered.
They drove home to me just how much it doesn't.
Apply that sense to the grand scheme of things and the song
"Feel Like A Number" gains practical meaning.
I'm happy I'm invisible.

We live in the information age. Sure our information will be used to control and or erase us in the future. But for now, data is being collected so that businesses can solve our problems and be more successful and profitable. I would like to remind you, that you are on Mingle2. This isn't exactly better than Facebook.

Who is They? You sound a little...just kidding. Yes. They want us to think that they don't exist. While they build their 5G death rays and hack our hormones with their WiFi waves.

Appeal? Targeted advertising for not much money at all. Facebook is great. If you are a producer. Or a consumer/producer. But if you are a consumer alone, there is really no reason to be on Facebook. It's just giving up your information for free. ...probably not even going to buy anything through ads.

Just use email notifications and leave it alone until you have something valuable to share or you get a message. It is better to communicate with strangers than people who already have your number and personal email.

Just because YOU haven't created a profile, yourself, doesn't mean Facebook doesn't have a profile on you. If you use the Internet, every website is connected to Facebook via Facebook.net is used as a tool to collect info on you.
