Can a person be religious and not believe in spirituality?

Can a person believe in a god but for example totally not believe in auras and astrology or do those go together most of the time?

Can someone who is religious for example not believe in things like “ walking under a ladder brings bad luck, black cats bring bad luck, killing a spider at night brings bad luck,... “ or do
superstition, spirituality and religion go hand in hand?
Can they be detached one from another completely or do they always share overlaps?

Google defines spirituality as...

In general, it includes a sense of connection to something bigger than ourselves, and it typically involves a search for meaning in life. ... Like your sense of purpose, your personal definition of spirituality may change throughout your life, adapting to your own experiences and relationships.

"it includes a sense of connection to something bigger than ourselves"

This "something bigger than ourselves" is often referred to as "other." Many see this "other" as God. Some see it as something else. The question is, is this "other" a living entity or not. Many feel this type of relationship exists only in someone else's head. Since they cannot imagine anyone having something that he/she does not, they cannot seem to relate.

I do enjoy a vibrant relationship with the Living God. Besides answering my questions and guiding through the Scriptures, He also provides for my life. He also gives me hope for the future.

Hi.
Spirituality has many aspects and is different to superstition as its real.
I would recommend not indulging in spiritual practices like astrology, yoga etc as unfortunately the holy spirit isn't the only spirit you can be influenced by.

God is supernatural and He told us to worship Him in spirit and truth John 4:23-24

But this looks different for different people. You most definitely don't need to be an overly spiritual person to have a relationship with God, just open your heart and be sincere. I urge you to seek guidance from your pastors and/or elders in church and pray to your father in heaven.

I wish you much joy and many blessings in Jesus name x

I go further 20. Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
21. Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

Well, the bible does explain what spirituality is, and religion is for sure non spiritual. Astrology is not superstition since it's not a believe system but observation of the stars and their movements in the sky. They don't go hand in hand since they have their own foundation and believers.

James2)
14 What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them? 15 Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. 16 If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? 17 In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.

26 As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead.

2 Johm 1)

9. Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.
10. If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:

what bible do you read?

Faith has nothing to do with spirituality. Most people who practice spirituality don't have a clue what it means and what the differences are with faith. Hebrew[11:1] Now faith is the substance of things hoped for the evidence of things not seen.

For instance Revelation [14:12] here is the patience of the saints; here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the the FAITH of Jesus. In other words; the children
of God who hold faith in Christ, even thou they have never seen or heard him, that every word he spoke was the TRUTH, because they believe in him.

This believe does not make them practitioners of Astrology, Mysticism or Magic. Nor do they have to practice any so called spriritual discipline. But they truly become spiritual, when they keep the commandments of God in the faith of Christ. Eccl. [12:13] For this is the whole duty of man. In other words..... this is the reason why you were born. KJV 1611.

The question I need to ask is this: what makes you spiritual?

Well, the bible does explain what spirituality is, and religion is for sure non spiritual.

i guess your bible your looking at is from mars xxxxx, and your spirituality displays that from the your bible.

like putting on a shoe and tying it so it stays on. both are combined. example

if you don't pick up on it, i feel sorry for you.
my bible professor did. I wash my hands of you, cause i see you want to argue in front of the unbelievers. so i fade away.

a Christian would never ask that question directly he or she would know.

As I can see, Non have answered the quesion and there is where we begin.

But if religion is non spiritual, as I have stated from the beginning, why do we bother about religion? Did God give us religion or did men invented it? Is Catholicism or Mormonism religion, are they spiritual, were they invented by men or was it given by God?.

And if one dares to say that religion is spiritual then I challenge any one of you, to show me in ANY bible where God gave religion to men.

i see and how many years did you study bible prophecy.
i studied 30 years.

also I will not talk in here about religion, do you know what bible they read from, or they may be taught wrong. or if they are like Jehovah witness, they cannot teach right.

they said Israel lost thier chance, do a search on the web, they said world war 2 was the end. they lost how many followers. thousands.

now they say something else. they teach wrong.
