Who has parachuted or bungy jumped? My sister in law blacked out when she jumped from the plane, but still lives to tell her story.

What was your experience like?

Same, not a fan of heights. I wonder what motivates people to do these jumps?
A death wish?

Does it? I have never tried it. Ha, ha my profile says "We have "wings".
I am surprised no Redbull addicts have messaged me yet.

If I was going to experience heights, I would feel safer paragliding, I think it is called.

Then I would sense more of a feeling of control.

I have heard that it becomes addictive. Do you have to be an adrenalin junkie?

My daughter did the parachute jump with an instructor when she lived in the US. I'm not sure if she went a 2nd time or not.
She is glad she tried it but would never do it again.

Personally I'd never, unless I had to in order to save my life and in that sense had no other choice. I do think it is freaking wonderful, ONCE you're gliding. But that jump... I'd scream bloody hell!

And bungee jumping, never ever never, not ever would I do that.
I get sick when playing "Assassin's Creed" and having Ezio jump head-first of one of them high towers or buildings. First few times I did that I almost puked, haha.

My Mother decided, at around age 85, that parachute jumping
was on her bucket list.

She did it and proudly displayed her pictures of it at the Home.
They thought she was a ninja.

You don’t need a parachute to skydive. You need a parachute to skydive twice.

At 6 Flags I rode the Superman ride. A verticle Drop Tower. I loved it!

I love the feeling of freefall. Astronauts claim space feels like constant freefall. I always wanted to take a ride on the Vomit Comet.

I love great heights. As a kid, I had climbed on every tall building in my homtown. I've bungie jumped from a bridge but not from a great height. Its a blast! I've never skydived and probably never will, now.

I don't have nor ever had, a death wish. I didn't do it cause it was there.
I like heights because of the view and I like freefall because it feels good to me. I would love floating in space. I love flying in airliners, I always ask for a window seat and love staring out at the ground. I love the roofs of tall structures.

I once saw a funny banner sign at a parachute club that said. 'Gravity is a myth, the earth sucks'...lol

Wow Soufie
That’s pretty god amazing of your mom to do that .
It’s not something I’d want to do but fair play to her for setting her mind to it and achieving it .
Bet those pictures are awesome !

Awww, they are, thank you ;-)
But she looks like she is hitting on the instructor
as she wraps around him..or vice versa.

I love heights and adrenaline ... smitten smitten have done both types of jumps in the past including skydiving and bungee .. .. lots of fun and a great bonding experience . Nz has some pretty spectacular jump sites .. If anyone is visiting nz .., I could be persuaded to show up and give that little nudge over the edge if required biggrin

Been there and done that, 87 jumps and loved most of them but the very best was jumping on the test platoon in Aviano Italy jumping out of the tail gate of a C-5A Galaxy jet aircraft for the US Army in 1981. God loves jumpers.

If we were meant to fly, would not we be born with wings?

Well, if we live right we will have wings so why not practice until that day. Tony

I hate heights, can’t stand even being on my roof but open the door of an airplane and I’m outta there. There is no greater feeling of freedom than being among the clouds with God and his angels. All three of my sons have jumped as well as their wives. Awesome.
