In the absence of light they’re enchanting
Dancing in the black curtains of the night
Their voices so loud like stallions stomping in your chest
Leaving traces of life in your eyes
Like fallen stars, and waves crashing to the shore

Where the ocean meets the sky
Find me bathing in the moonlight at 12
Where sands adorn my skin
Where the water touches my feet
Where my breath keeps you awake

Lie with me ‘til golden rays kiss our skin
Remember my warmth like a moth drawn to flames
Hear my voice when you paint my constellation in colors
Know that I exist

Tomorrow I’ll find you,
And I’ll die again so you can live
For eternity I’ll sleep, bits of sand in my hourglass will endlessly flow
And your life won’t stay suspended

These paws will forget immortality to hold you
Golden mane will be tainted with human vices
I will lower my stance of dignity, you are beyond my authority
I will bleed, I will stand next to you, my human
