Games are a great ice breaker. It can relax the mood and let both people just have fun (if they want to). Some times it will also show bad sides like poor winners and poor losers. Scrabble would not be a good game for me, but I would play if that was the game she wanted to play... Hopefully she does not hold my 'pulik edumacation' against me...lol
Monopoly is too long of a game, but something like chess/checkers would be interesting.

So .. … imagine you are on a first date with someone you have been absolutely craving to be alone with and after dinner they pull out a scrabble word game …

What would your reaction be ?

Have you ever been in a similar situation ?

Hi Blondey
waving
I would love to play a game of Scrabble!

From grade 9 to grade 12
Nearly all my first dates occurred at get togethers, parties or river bashes.
- Dodge-ball
- Hide and Seek
- Tag (You're It)
- Spin the Sodapop Bottle
- Truth or Dare
- Twister

During college
Again, all my first dates were at social functions.
- Spin the Liquor Bottle
- Quarters
- Beer Pong
- Strip Twister
- Strip Poker
- First to Laugh (Drinks a Shot)

1st Date with the X
- no game but lots of hot & heavy physical activity

1st Dates After Divorce
- Pool (Billiards)
- Beer Pong
- Jenga
Met one woman at an internet cafe and we played Doom and Unreal
- My current GF and I played no game, we just drove around and played music then went back to my place where I cooked her a steak dinner.

Scrabble should have been my game choice (had I thought of it).
Might have saved myself 25 years from an impulse marriage.
I've played (not on a 1st date) Chess and Checkers but I find them boring.
The most interesting game date was
Twister, not Strip Twister just the regular one.
It was far more sexier with that clothing barrier driving my curiosity/anticipation.

I'm pretty good with Trivial Pursuit [Movies].
I'm also really good with guessing games like Charades.

..
I'm also really good with guessing games like Charades.

Funniest thing I ever saw during a game of Charades..
about 30 people playing.

The most boring, unemotional and unfunny man I
ever knew was given 'Mary Poppins' to act out.

He glanced at the piece of paper, walked over
to the couch and leapt up on it.

He raised his arm like he was taking an oath..
fist tight..and jumped off the couch.

Twenty-nine people screamed 'Mary Poppins'
all at once.

Imagination...something to check for on
a first date ;-)
