I'm gonna go with McCain and personally i don't think the american nation on a whole is ready for a female president.....yes we are moving foreward but when you get down to it it's still pretty much an old boy's club in regards to the presidency and we 're not ready for that to change sorry to call your goat on this one, but we are ready for a female president. However, we are NOT ready for another Clinton president. If we had a respectable candidate who was also willing to help the people and not fill her own pockets, or posion our children, I would vote for her in a heart beat as would a million other Americans. the sad fact is however, Mrs. Clinton (and I use her marriage title intentionally) is not the type of person I or a million other people want in office. I for one am going to be voting for Obama, not because he is black, not because he is opposite Hilary. But because I like and agree with what I have heard from him. But, what about Obama's statement that his heart and interests lie with his own ancestral nation in Africa? Can we really accept that in a president of America? So he loves and is interested in the welfare of his ethnicity (for lack of a better term). Can you honostly sayyou arent interested and ocncerned about yours? Did he ever come out and say that he would NOT supprot America? Did he ever come out and say that he would put Africa ABOVE America? Not to my knowledge. It would have been front page and 6pm. 11pm and 5am wide breaking news events, as well as all over every singel radio station if he had done so. Do not vote against someone simly because they care about their heritage, and where they come from. does he have proof he has african ancestors or is he assuming it and why is it ok for him to say those things about africa but if someone of jewish heritage was to say the same thing about isreal they would be persecuted |

ok wheres god when you need him. he can decide on this one and for one clinton got impeached, he just didnt get thrown out of office, if i may say clinton was still in office when the world went to **** so bush had to clean his mess up

Bush was in office, check the history. mnhiker please don't double post like that. It's just annoying.
Yes, Bush was in office. Yes, I have no problem with someone wanting to reach out to another country... but we have problems at home that need our attention before we go dumping tons of aid money into other countries. I guess I will just hope that somehow we get a better selection of candidates next time around. For now, I'm going to bow out of this topic and let everyone else argue the merits (or more likely demerits) of the candidates. Have fun all! |

Michael Bloomburg would be one of the best Presidents this country would ever see. A self-made man who is not afraid to stand up to big buisness. Hes a liberal who is proud to stand up for the liberties we have lost under the Bush administration. I would love to see Michael Bloomburg and a Ron Paul Ticket. Other than that it comes down to Hilary Clinton and Barrack Obama. Both fairly electable seperatley but they are going to be one hell of a force if they team up. I personally think John McCain doesnt have a snow balls chance in hell. I mean who is he going to choose as his running mate, Lester Maddox or maybe Strom Thurmond, oh wait there both dead and gone and so should there beliefs. Plus hes 71 years old, hell be 72 by the time he hits office. In my opinion way to old to be the President, i mean what are we going to have a National Bingo night, please we need some youthfull exuberance and we need a new way of thinking NOW!!! My vote goes to Michael Bloomburg and Ron Paul

Huckabee comes to mind, but it could also very well be Governor Tim Pawlenty of Minnesota, who is stumping for McCain. |
