At 72, he was still such a great performer....he will be missed.

He was a man WAY before his time. He will be missed, not just by fans,
but by people who love good people.

He was a great entertainer but not "good people" redmange.

From a friend:

"He was arrested at least four times for assault when his third wife
kept reporting him for abuse. He served several years in prison after
the famous car chase across state lines in 1988 and threatening
pedestrians with an unlicensed handgun, assaulting a police officer and
including, but not limited to various drug-related and driving offenses.
A real sweetheart, that one."

Personalities have their problem too... But wife beating is just plain
mean spirited.
