couple of random thoughts from a woman who is happily married thanks to this site, and meeting the man of my future on here...
first, many people edit their forum settings so that the "new members" area is blocked, thus, many times there are not new postings in this forum due to the fact that many people never see it.. second, this site has worked for many people, couples, and friendships. for some people like me, it works for all of the above. I met Brad in August of '07. we started talking, and txting, and emailing back and forth. it wasnt long before he was the first voice i heard in the morning and the last voice that i heard at night..and that was exeactly how I wanted it to be.. we started "tentatively dating" in march of '08. met in person and "officaly started dating in may of the same year. it wasnt long before he met my family.. and i met his. he met my kids, and formed an instant bond. we got engaged in june of '09, and were married on september 5th. We had friends who we had met on this site at our wedding, an honor and privelage that i hope we will be able to recripicate when they are finally able to join as well. and just to officaly announce it... we found out that we are expecting a baby as well.. I also have many friends that i speak to almost every day, people that i have become close enough to to call them sister, people that i call when im scared, or excited, sometimes before i call my family. this site does work, not the same way for everyone, and not with the same results for everyone, but it does work. keep your minds and hearts open, enjoy the friendships, and experiences that you gain from this site. best of luck to all, and i wish everyone happiness.. 
(and no.. to the skeptics, i wasnt always this optimistic, or happy.. mingle (justsayhi) helped me to achieve this.) |

Kevin (YouandImake1) and I met here in April, began with email, then im....and on to phone....we met for lunch and didn't want the day to end, so we spent the rest of the day walking through the park....several visits to see one another....and now I am planning to move 300 miles north of my home town to begin a new life with him...a few more weeks and we will be together to enjoy the rest of our lives.....Thank you Mingle
