How long do you think it will be before he's assassinated? As much as I'd give my life for it to not be that way, our country is still very closed minded. My guess is it will be one of the old republican men who work in the government. The ones who were raised to think that black people and women were less than them.

If the attempt or succession should happen..that would be a very sad situation...

As soon as he announced his candidacy, I said to the dearly beloved that he would win the chair and then have an attempt made on his life.

Sadly in this country any leader in a position of power is an object of hate from one area or another. They all take that chance when they go into it.

I would hope this is not an accurate assessment of the situation.

That has worried me from the beginning of the campaigns...except I worried that if Obama or Clinton were elected that someone would attempt to assassinate either one.

As much talk as you hear that the USA is "cool"...they (the old guys) are not ready to deal with a black or a female in Office.

Thing is though, I think if it'd been Hillary they already know here there and it would've been less of a threat.

I hope he will win and change America for better and not for worse . His safety and security are the responsibility of the government . Bush and Blair were very unpopular but no one hurt them .

I can see the Clinton factor. She's evil, but most white Americans are not racist and I dont see anyone willing to assasinate him just because he's black. Which seems to be what is suggested by thes thread.
