Diplomacy to end the conflict appeared to falter. Late on Saturday night, the US blocked a UN security council statement calling for an immediate ceasefire.

those ceasefires work well with vietnam didn't they; the north sure liked them, let them regroup. if they would quit poking them with a stick maybe they would not be getting hit with a boulder.

There already was a ceasefire for a period of time and it was broken over and over again. What good would a new one do? NOTHING.

Good! Maybe the UN might want to hold those nations accountable for the backward ways they allow people to live (in ignorance & poverty) that is causing this irrational hatred & terror killings like a bunch of uncivilized peasants.

Weapons and rockets were being smuggled in also with those foods, medicines and fuel. The situation is horrible but another ceasefire isn't going to change anything. |
