Sporks have been mass-manufactured since at least the late 1800s. The Folgate Silver Plate Company of England manufactured one sometime between 1875 and 1900.

I guess sporks are good for making watermelon balls. I thought it was interesting to read about the foons and the spoon on one side and the fork on the other side. I think they would great to bring to parties.

Have you ever seen one of those multipurpose knives that a fork and a spoon on them? I bet they would be great for back packers.

A spork is when you need a spoon and a fork but don't want to have both on the table...a titanium one is much easier to carry around and makes you a great target for the aliens from the planet Q who love titanium alloys

I guess titanium sporks are a real status symbol. I feel so deprived not having one. Now I know what I want for my birthday.

Titanium for a spork?
Dude, that is ludicrous! In order to forge or weld titanium, it has to be done in a vacuum or in a sealed chamber of inert gasses (non-combustable)....the reason being..at melting tempurature..the metal will burn if exposed to oxygen. It is an incredibly expensive and complex proceedure......to blow that kind of effort for a spork is just retarded. |
