It would have to depend on the system. Every gaming system has a favorite in my book. See what I mean.
Dos - Traffic Department 2192 Win 3.1 - Castle of the Winds Win 95-2000 & ME - Doom 2 Window XP - Star Wars KOTOR Window Vista - Doom 3 (Only because it one of the few older game that work on it with out Fan mods.) Atari 2600 - River Raid Atari Jaguar - Iron Soldier Nes - Super Mario Bros. 3 Gameboy - Zelda: Link's Awaking DS- Mario Kart Snes - Chrono Trigger N64 - Conker's Bad Fur Day GameCube - Sonic Adventure DX Wii - Super Smash Bros. Brawl Sega Game Gear - Sonic the Hedgehog Sega Genesis - Sonic the Hedgehog 2 Sega CD - Sonic CD DreamCast - Marvel vs Capcom PS1 - Final Fantasy 7 (hands down) PS2 - Silent Hill 3 PS3 - Ninja Gaiden Sigma As you can see, it would have to depend, But if I had to pick only one... Chrono Trigger |

I liked Baldur's Gate 2, Zelda A link to the past, Super Mario World. Castlevania Symphony of the Night (Dracula X in Japan) for the PS1. Oh and GoldenEye 007 for N64 surprised no one said that.

The first series of games that made me stay up all night were Donkey Kong Country 1, 2 and 3 for the Super NES. I fondly remember sticking DKC 3 in particular in the system at 11 pm the first night I rented it. Eleven straight hours of gaming, I still hadn't finished it. At 10 am the next morning, I finally took a break to eat breakfast, then was back playing until about 2:30, when I finished it.
The original MarioKart for Super NES is one of my most played games of all-time. In terms of recent games, Fable, Fable Lost Chapters, Fable 2, Psychonauts, Overlord and Overlord 2 are the best quality-wise. |

I played Morrowind as well and really enjoyed it; However, I passed it up on my favorites in favor of the Graphics. I seriously enjoyed the game but graphically it is hard to go back to for me. KoTOR and KoTOR II would have also landed on that list based on Story alone(Jade Empire too), but again graphical re-playability was trumped by Mass Effect's graphics and of course achievements. |
