Only the passing of time keeps me moving forward
forced by the very nature of our world I can't go back
It's only the passing of loved ones I can't move toward
but it's something in our lives we never really lack

Only the loss of my wife would ever cause me such pain,
and hurt in a such way I can never truely express
But hurt is just a part of life, the like sunshine and rain
and the such things will happen again sometimes in excess.

Only yesterday I recieved more sadness in my life
another in my world had passed from the world
my inlaw, my friend, the father of my lost wife
has left now, and the flag for him will soon be unfurelled

Only the passing of time keeps me going
when life is as hard as it sometime can be
Sometimes it's only passing of friends showing
that life is precious, and the cost is not free.

Only with the costs that we all have to pay
make us truely appreciate our lives each and every day.

Wonderful thought thank you...



I find so many people in my heart these days that can't stand beside me anymore. It's truly a wonderful place to have them and sharing their memory is sweet, but nothing ever really replaces the touch of a hand whether it's a wife a relative or a friend.

Sharing memories to keep them alive in our hearts and minds is a cost, but what a wonderful cost it sometimes is.

Thank you MzEm. It is a time of mixed emotions for me. The passing of someone you know is always painful. His last year was very painful yet at the same time full of all the things he loved to do. He left this world content with his life and how he spent it and that's a joyous thing.

Dave, I think that is the way you should leave this life, knowing you have done everything you have wanted to do and you have no regrets. To go with peace, knowing you are loved, like you loved him, has to be the benidiction we should all hope for.

Thank you I appreciate the compliment. I write and post mostly for my own release when others enjoy it's just an added bonus. I write much in the way of poems and the like are posted on here, but you'd have to scan pretty far back to find most of them. There are a couple from a week or so ago currently it's on page 10 (http://mingle2.com/forum/forum/10?page=10).

I can't say it was with no regrets, he had plenty. But pretty much exclusively from a past that seems more than a lifetime away. So he was content that he had made amens for that past but at the same time found the joy in giving like no other I've known.
