most sites have policies against scam artists and they provide a way to report them so they can be blocked on a site wide basis.
does this site have provisions to do this as well ? ? ? thanks in advance for your anticipated response. |

There is a link on every user's profile to report abuse. There are four options once you click the button, and one of them is "Spammer/Scammer".
Please give us a reason why you feel this way, and we'll look into the account. Mingle2 takes this very seriously. If you have any questions, let me know. Be well, Lori Moderator |

Be well, Lori Moderator I was checking my emails on the email address that I signed up here with and someone who I did not know, said that they knew me from Mingle2 and they started a conversation with me. I thought this was highly suspect as I do not readily tell people my email address. Sure enough, without getting into particulars it turned out to be a scammer from Ghana. I believe that I stopped them in their tracks when I responded to their question "What type of work do you do?" with " I work for the United States Government Internet Fraud Division." But my question to you is this: Is it possible for anyone from this site, to get hold of my email address?

Mingle2 does not give out anyone's personal information. If you suspect a scammer, please report them. You can report any member, by clicking the "report this user" link on their profile. (just to the right of the main pic). Keeping scammers off of the site, is a priority. Please help us out, by reporting them. Thanks, Mark |

I keep getting men sending messages to my IM address that say they are from Mingle2 and I have never spoke to them. When I go to look at their profiles they say they are deactivated. How are they getting information regarding my profile with deactivated profiles? One even stated that he was from out of the country. I will wait for a response before just deleting my entire profile from this site.

Those people (scammers) are deactivated, simply because we banned them. Scammers will be eliminated without notice, and we will be very strict in this policy. User names are usually the avenue used by them, beyond that, i will not give them the tools to work with.
Welcome aboard, and i hope you understand. Mark |

what is considered enough proof to show that someone is a scammer or a site promoter? would a copy of an IM convo be convincing enough?

Based on my observations, I've noticed a pattern in fraudulent Mingle2 Account Profiles. Typically, most genuine Users put fourth the effort into modifying the Physical Appearance and Lifestyle section of their Mingle2 Account Profile. As opposed to the Pseudo-Mingle2 Account Profiles which almost always remained at the default. I will illustrate the example below.
Physical Appearance Height 5' 8" Hair color No answer Body type Slender Ethnicity White / Caucasian Lifestyle Marital Status No answer Have Children? No answer Smokes? No answer Religion No answer Want Children? No answer Drinks? No answer

Some of these "Users" also have duplicate Mingle2 Account Profiles.
