...not showing up for me?

A friend posted a thread in the Christian Singles section that I was interested in posting in, but the only way I can get to that section is through her posting history.

I have checked to see if I had it checked ( allowed ) to show up and it doesn't even show up on the sections list in my settings.

What gives?

You have your religious designation set to "Agnostic".

Therefore, you don't see the Christian Singles forum, as the religion forums are set for those that believe the same way.

Then how do non religious people keep getting in and berating those who are there??

Or perhaps they are just clicking on the Religion option that will allow them in.

You're correct; you can change your preferences and then see the forum in that way. Of course, you then won't see the forum you were in...

Do you mean that if I were to change my settings to allow me into those threads ( which is something I wouldn't do anyway ) other forums wouldn't show up because of the change??

In my settings, all of the forums are checked to be visible. Would some of those disappear if I changed my Religion setting?

Even if you checked them to be visible, if it's not your listed religion, you won't see it.

Yep. Got it now. Still doesn't stop the more obnoxious among us from lying about their religion just to be able to get into certain forums ( which isn't as much of a pain as indicated ) but I understand the premise.

True but it probably does slow them down a touch not being able to see the forum exists in the first place
