Anyone out there that has some suggestions for really good places to eat in Orlando? I would like to know about some economical ones as well as a couple of nice places (that are not so economical). Any thoughts? At this point I have no idea where they are will arrange for us to stay at this conference. My guess is there probably is a convention center and I would think places that are within good walking distance of that could be helpful.
Are there some must have places or patios to eat? Thanks for any suggestions! |

I was born & raised in Orlando...what kind of food do you like to eat? One word of caution: Do NOT go to S. Orange Blossom Trail...that is the rough end of town & they eat tourists alive down there...

BBQ, International foods are good too (but, nothing too extreme e.g.cat/dog/squid).
Thx for the note of caution too! |

I was born and raised in orlando too... And S. OBT is not that bad, as long you know where you going and stuff. Its not the only rough side, and they don't eat tourists, they beat them... Lol, jp. Watch out for pine pills, silver star, hiawasse(forgot how to spell it), and few other places. Most likely HDB2230, you'll be in the international part... And have a blast in Orlando! Be safe and have a awsome trip... |

Be safe and have a awsome trip... I was born & raised in Pine Hills (now known as Crime Hills) & lived many years in the SOBT area (44th St., Rio Grand, & Grand St.)...hell! My Uncle still lives on 17th St.! That area may not be bad for the ones of us who know where we are going, but I still wouldn't recommend it to a tourist. |
