Singles are suppose to be a huge lucerative demographic. What are the best or worst Singles events you have attended? Why?

My kids tell me to go to the local singles dance held on the third Sunday of the month, and to stay away from 'internet women'

My daughter tells me to go to the local bar and meet someone......probably better than the internet!

I really fancy older men...anywhere from 5-17 years older ( 17 because the last "man" I dated was that much older than me). However I did attend a dance called "Parents without Partners." I assumed the age range would be my age and a "little" older...well I am 35. Anyway the "dance hall" was chock-o-block FULL of 75-80 year olds that REEKED of OLD SPICE...I would describe the men as "spry" but just a little too old for my liking...and if you guys have any old spice...pour it out!!! It is a very mature grandfather like scent...

Wow these responses surprise me. Maybe the computer has killed more of them out than I thought. Used to be dances, cruises, parties with a purpose, classes, and special work days.
Parent's Without Partner's used to be big. Never was their biggest fan but I know a lot of couples met that way. Food poisoning probably qualifies as the worst. Know that would sure leave a lasting impression. It is kind of sad though. Still seems to be a real stigma to being single. Like getting together is somthing bad. Maybe more money to be made keeping us apart and nobody working together to get ahead or for that matter to just keep up. |
