We have recently trained yellowrose10 and markecephus in moderating and administering, respectively. markecephus has been a moderator from the outset, of course, so the transition has been a smooth one. yellowrose10 has caught on fast, and she is also ready to go.

This is an outstanding group, and I hope all of you will join me in thanking them for their help. Our moderators volunteer a lot of their time to help make sure Mingle2 stays the best dating site on the net, and their efforts are sincerely appreciated.


I'd also like to make the following points:

-- In addition to seeing that the rules of the Community are followed, a moderator's role is to help welcome new users, answer any questions they may have about how the site works, and respond to any requests or concerns you all may have about posts, topics, etc.

-- All of the moderators and administrators have been chosen based on their ability to be fair, level-headed, diplomatic, responsive, and unbiased. We have selected them because we know their primary goal is to help all of you enjoy the site more, and they have the skills and personalities to do that effectively.

-- All of the moderator actions are logged and viewable by all of the other mods and the administrators. So, any "abuses" are easily seen by the other representatives of the site. Put another way, the mods are accountable for their actions.
