it looks like it's over stylized. like it was made for the hot topic crowd to sell tshirts. personally i dont think the original needed a sequel, it was great as a stand alone movie.

I'm thinking it will be a disappointment too, still going to see it...big fan of the first one, but I'm pretty sure this second one won't even touch the first one. |

Willem Dafoe won't be in the new one... lame.
I honestly thought this was some vapor they kept shooting to keep interest in the project or something... can't believe it's finally coming out. |

I LOVE Norman Reedus!
But, the whole Irish gangster thing is so *grr*!!! I love Italian mob films but this brings a new culture to light. Old school New York is HISTORY as in we don't now chit about coming up in life in today's world!
At first disturbing, I really liked William DeFoe's character.

William DeFoe's character was a big part of the first movie. I just hope it comes out near me. I don't want to have to drive 100 miles just to see it.
"And shepherds we shall be, for Thee my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, that our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. We shall flow a river forth to Thee, and teeming with souls shall it ever be". |

I may be alone in this thought, but I can't wait to see it. lol
I live out in Michigan and I might drive out to Philly just to ****ing watch it >.< Of course as a single film the boondock saints is amazing, maybe it doesn't need a sequel, but damn if it an't good to see my boys in action again! There's also a comic coming out. Not sure if their doing a series or just one book but since I saw the first one I'd begged for a comic. It's like, the perfect plot line for one! |

I'll wait for it to come out on video. Aliens was the only sequel that I have seen that happened to be better than the first.
I remember when Boondock Saints came out. Few knew about it. Didn't it go straght to video stores? I remember picking it up and thinking, "This is another risk." All movies I picked up back then were a risk because I didn't do mainstream. I was a rebel...err, or maybe just a Northern Californian snob :) I was somewhere between being thespian, punk and post-hippie. I was basically antisocial, condescending and self-righteous. Anyways...there was one copy of Boondock Saints on the shelf that had probably never been rented. I took it home and watched it with some friends and it was like I had struck oil. |
