The candy jar shattered across the floor.
Time is a bad memory searching for more.
Here we are back where we were the day before.
A sarcastic sky drifts by slowly blowing across your raggedy dress.

Calling your name a little louder then the day before.
So, life has you on your hands & knee....
Graffiti written daydreams melt away.
Like a ice cream prince charming that never was.

Rain drops, broken bottles, cigarette ashes on the floor.
As pointless as a blind man looking in the mirror.
Or waiting for a politician to find integrity.
Heartache in remission seems to have come back again.

Alice the looking glass only reflects the emptiness of your heart.
The white rabbit suddenly became road kill on a sunny day.
Eternity changed the address of your life to Sesame Street.
Poor flower in the moonlight undressed by the reality of change.
