Give And Take

It fit easily
in his chubby little hand,
this treasure of his finding.
T'was not polished.
but oh how it sparkled,
captivating his attentions.
This is the joy
life is made up of.
His little chubby hand
opened to grasp mine.
And, yes, how easily he fills me,
my wonderful joy.
He shines and sparkles
in my heart
taking my breath away,
only to give it back.
Such wonder.
