Im more concerned with the fact that he shot a bunch of people than what he had to say.

There is more cultural/religious context to that phrase, then just that it's linked to an extremist group.

I am not a scholar in islam, however, we should keep in mind that religious phrase used should be kept in context and not go down a slippery slope of association. And first and foremost, remember that this crime was committed by a distrubed individual (minus all the other demographics).

Until, the military completes its investigation, we will not know the whole context and inferences should be refrained from!
