QUOTE: aww what a great compliment bella! Thanks Like you stated in your earlier post, it feels good to take care of myself! I am so much saner & happier now Fanadtic->seriously doubt you have any blubberbutt issues (nice arms btw) but I think our bodies feel more blubbery when we are not active!
bastet->I haven't tried that type of yoga, but really love my yoga
EK->totally admire your dedication as a military man and to you puppy dog! yes the pain and soreness hurts so good! navy-> 5:30 am? Oh hell no! U go on with your bad self honey, I am still snoring at that time of day I like to exercise more in the evening and kinda blow off steam/anxiety from the day so I can sleep better.
Ha Ha. Yeah most people are sleeping that time of morning but as I am busy with three bands in the evening; I just don't have time for a workout. My music relieves my stress but if not I always have my 100 pound punching bag. |

you should try bikram firefly, 90 mins in a 105 degree room, 26 poses. the challenge for the first few classes is just being able to stay in the room the entire time lol. once you get past the heat, it's an intense workout, like i said, mind body spirit.
namaste!

I tried some kind of hot yoga once, but the instructor there wasn't good with beginners & I really couldn't keep up (it was my first time to try yoga ever). I did better than I thought I would at least!
I found an instructor at the rec on campus that is great with beginners & I have had 2 semesters of intro now so in the spring may move to her Hatha flow class! Mebbe do both They are back to back though so IDK. I'll see if anyone does the bikram around here and try it at least, I'll try anything once. Hate to miss out on something fun!

hope that doesn't catch up to ya later on mayhem. I sure wish i had started taking better care of myself much earlier in life.
I had a great work-out tonight (water cardio)! I started this class in June and usually make 2/week & have really improved since then. tonight...I was so proud, I finally did a shoot through!!! That's where you hold this foam noodle under the water & kind of jump rope back & forth without drowning yourself. You also rise your body out straight at the water surface & then pull your knees in & swing back over the noodle & out the other way. It's great for strengthening core muscles! It was a proud moment for me! |

I cycle for 40 minutes each day, more when the weather isn't crappy. Haven't been to the gym in a while due to time constraints but working around it, can't wait to get back though!
