Our first day at Sea Camp has been full of activity. We disected squid and painted tatoos on each other from the ink. From there, we went to swimming and snorkeling instruction in the pond. Then, we went to dinner. After that, we went to the touchy, feely tank of Sea Urchins, star fish, and sea cucumbers. We caught and released sea life, and we had a bonfire. What an interesting day for the kids from Rosewood magnet. Hope everyone is enjoying there evening and doin well.

Painful as heck.

We used to chop them up and feed them to the fish for fun while scuba diving. It is hard to get the spines out if you get stuck!

We went snorkeling today for four hours some were deeper reefs and some were shallow reefs. We did not step on, touch, or "leave any footprints" on the natural habitat. Now we saw fire coral, but, of course, did not touch any of the species or we caught and released a lobster, crab and fish. We are headed to the algae lab later to look at different algae and the species in them under microscope. It should be fun. Will update everyone later. We are leaving tomorrow after lunch. Caio for now.

After dinner the kids played a pretty good game of volleyball, and went to algae class. They went through oatmeal algae and found living organisms within the algae. Seeing quite a few Key deer, and shooting stars. It's very nice here.

It's really been a lot of fun. This morning, after breakfast, we wnt to the shark pool and snorkeled with the Nurse Sharks. We learned about sharks, their reactions, and natural habitats. After that we had the casseopia course, studying jellyfish and experimenting with jellies in different enviromental change reactions. Some were placed in a higher salinity, some were placed in ice water, others in warmer waters, and the last was fresh water. This changed how they moved, some incresed movement, some decreased movement, and some increased movement then decreasing movement as they became adjusted to the new environments. We then, went to lunch. After lunch, we took photos of the group and staff. Now we have embarked on our six hour bus trip home. In between, the children cleaned their rooms for inspection by staff before be dismissed by the staff.
