So the car was dead again this morning.
I called for a jump, then pulled up a chair
in the yard to bask in the sun to wait for him.
I am looking at this huge towering briar
patch (blackberries, ivy, weeds, 20' tall)
and as my eyes pass over it, something strikes me.
It is a sea of green, shade upon shade yet..
something catches my eye.
I go for a closer look.

Three, 2' tall marijuana plants in their
own pots, well-watered, in the sun, in amongst
the weeds!!!

I ripped those puppies out, tossed them into
the trees, smashed the pots and tossed them
into the briar patch.

I never would have seen them, but for the car
battery dying.
I had wondered about the high water bill.


I am still seething.

mr and mrs briar rabbit are gonna be having some fun tonight :)~

i love a story where the original issue
is completely over taken by the happenstance
along the way. how is your car? and did
the plants have any buds? and was this your
freeloaders doing? and what were you thinking
woman??!! and pot in pots?? is that dr. seuss?

but, soooo not cool of the gardeners.

I did not think to look overmuch at the plants
my arms are all scratched up as it is.
Car at shop, steering a loaner about.

I am thinking it is my neighbor, who came by
shortly afterwards all red-faced (though it
is hot out) and asking if i would drive his
gf to the doctor.

I feigned total ignorance.

I think all the dots connect
in 'happenstance' :-)

I also think there could be some
freaky birds about tonight.
