It is my understanding that international adoption laws require that "To be adopted a child must be under 18 and never have been married."

Your adopted daughter was 21 when you adopted her, what's up with that?

First, my Princess was 22 when I legally adopted her.

Second, I did not say the adoption was an international one. My Princess is a natural-born U.S. citizen.

Third, adoption laws vary from nation to nation and from state to state. There is no one adoption law that governs the entire planet.

Fourth, the state of Oklahoma permits the adoption of a person who is already over the age of 18.

My Princess spent her entire childhood being a ward of the State. She had no father while growing up. God brought her into my life so that she would finally have a daddy who loves her unconditionally.

So, I have reason to smile whenever my Princess is with me.

The photo below shows my Princess and me on the day of her adoption:

Of course I was in my human guise that day.

For being able to wear a hot pink and black polka dot shirt and zebra print sunglasses to a conservative Midwest church's low German supper and having friends that love me enough to still sit with me. <3

My daughter Ruth contacted me through Yahoo! instant messaging. She lives in Colombia. Her 24th birthday is this month.

Here are photos of her while she was growing up.
