An infant.
A toddler. A pre-teen. A teenager. A young adult. A senior citizen. Yet, I am also dead. Speaking of biblical nonsense on another thread, got me questioning the creation of time. Most look at the context of the bible and question, 'Why did Noah, Moses, Adam, Eve all get to live to be hundreds upon hundreds of years old; yet we only get a meager 100 IF we are lucky?' Shortly thereafter, in our debate I also remembered something I was taught back when Pluto was still a planet and the Solar System was one of the most dominant science fair projects next to the spaghetti sauce volcano. The term 'day'. I know what a day is to 'us' as humans, but what is an actual day? Let me slap down some interesting numbers quick. 126.5 49.5 30.4 16.2 2.56 1.03 Believe it or not, those numbers all signify the same thing. Know what it is? My age. If I was born and lived on Mercury, I'd be 126 and a half years old. Venus, half a year left till I hit the top of the hill. Everyone may or may not know I'm 30 here on Earth. ..but out on Saturn? I just became a year old not too long ago. The last few planets, I'm not even a year old yet. In fact, On Neptune I'd be 16,615.8 days old, yet still not a year passes. This opened my eyes to realize, that the Biblical interpretation of the term 'day', could actually represent thousands upon thousands of 'days'. So, outside that cool stuff, anyone else want to know how old you are on different planets? Ask me or go to Exploratorium.edu. Or you can google it if you wish. :) |

Fun stuff. It is also interesting to realize that calenders have not always been the same. Its also interesting to realize that before it was common for people to be literate most things were past down orally.
Take all these things together and it becomes pretty easy to see why people believed stories of 900 year old elders. |

I think it's insane that to be a one-year old on Pluto; you would have had to been born in 1750-60 era. Yet you'd be deemed an immortal on Venus or even Earth. Just thought I'd share. :D |
