After the two Alphas the first beta came in March 1. I waited till March 2 to try the beta. It comes in with Kernel 3.2.0-17. Towards the end the second alpha was loading itself so the first beta loaded without a hitch. One can totally gpart the drive to primary partition to extension 4 and set it for boot. It caught 783 files from Debian at record speed. The Nvidia driver comes in at 295.20 but noticed sound difficulties at first but the update fixed them fast. LDM seems to be a great alternative to just pure Gnome as the alternate Debian installer in verbose is a faster installer than just pure Ubuntu thanks to the multiarch support from Debian.

After the kernel updated to 3.2.0-18 I loaded the Gnome 2.32 from synaptic and the multiarch support from Debian started kicking in real good. During the process it asked me if I wanted the whole Gnome or just the LDM  LDM makes the Gnome real light so I am glad I opted for the LDM. I can see now why Ubuntu brought LDM to the table because it makes Gnome act like LXDE. Some members had even had asked the question if Debian had taken over Lubuntu since they hadn't noticed anything really new from Lubuntu or Ubuntu. I had to laugh when the Debian splash came up instead of the usual Lubuntu 12.04 splash. laugh But then the Lubuntu splash replaced it and everything was back to normal.
