How do we learn to forgive?


how have you MADE youself REALLY forgive someone when you thought you never could? What did you tell yourself to convince yourself?

What did you do after forgiving - ever backslide????

i don't forgive.

That's to bad. Holding grudges will make the hate consume you so much that it will turn into a very nasty and negative person. I forgive,but I don't forget. Fool me once shame on you fool me twice shame on me. I just let things go it's hard,but it's better for your emotional well being.

Forgiveness is simply. It's simply releasing any hate or other ill feelings towards a PERSON, not necessarily their actions though. JMO

I don't hate or seek vengeance on any one who has wronged me, I have no ill feelings towards them, but I also will not allow them to wrong me again.

I don't see it as a religious thing necessarily. Forgiveness is important for ones self. It's really no good to keep ill feelings or negativity in you. I do hope that you find some sort of outlet to release ill feelings and negativity towards those that have wronged you. I really just wish for the best for you.

No, those who have wronged me really don't deserve the energy it takes to keep those things. I believe that what goes around, comes around, and those who have wronged me will be taken care of, just as I will answer for my wrong doings towards others.

I do actually understand and to an extent give a small amount of respect to that theory....

But, I honestly view it as bending over and allowing someone to do you dirty cause some uneducated sand peasant said you should. I respect the theory behind it....not the actual reality.
