I choose a different format for a different occasion. If it is ONLY from a vintage recording & has never been "remastered", then I choose to use a record player.
Some recordings sound better on cassette and or compact disc. Which is generally how I listen at home or driving in the car. MP3 players are ideal for work. I can fit most of my CD collection in my pocket & just hit shuffle. |

I just stick with mp3s these days, as I am either listening to music on my laptop, phone or ipod.

I use every format that comes out cause I have to know what they are doing for my work, but the main one I use is still CD. Can't believe it is over 30 years old now.

MP3s or streaming. I'm a huge fan of steaming anything. Another generation or two of wireless technology and putting MP3s files onto a player will be a thing of the past.

All.
I do vinyl, cassettes, CDs and MP3s. I burn most stuff for playing on my computer, Ipod or phone but always try to get physical formats as well. I personally loathe the idea of going to a strictly streaming society, and will probably always be that guy who stubbornly holds onto his physical items. |
