OK so talk to me really slow because I'm not quick on all of this lol

We recently got the 4G internet at the house.

First question is: does 4G require a special, magical router or is a router a router and can use any of them?

Second question is: Since we don't have the TV cable thingy right now, is there a way to watch TV with the 4G? Are there any sites that will let you watch the current shows?

Any router should work, but if you tell me the service name, I'll let you know for sure.

Roku. You can buy it at Walmart or Bestbuy or Costco or online. It allows you to stream NetFlix, Amazon VOD, Pandora and lots of other content.

Service name is Clear. My brother in law found it. I'm trying to settle an argument that I'm stuck in the middle of. We spent money on a new router because the BIL insists we need the special one. My step dad has a router and says a router is a router.

As far as "streaming live TV" or whatever they call it lol...my sister is an invalid so the TV and internet are her only link to the outside world, so I am looking for a site for free or costs little that I can get for her so she can watch her daily shows or whatever

I'm assuming you got one of the "Clear Modem" packages. Any router would work. "A router is a router" isn't quite true, as there are different quality routers, but this shouldn't require more than a standard Wireless-N router, which should have 4-5 ethernet ports.

I would check Hulu and Hulu plus. A Roku would allow your sister to watch movies / TV shows on her TV through the internet.

Thank you Spider. From what I saw the router is just like the past routers we have had.

Does Netflix show the current TV programs or is it just movies?

Well, Netflix only has the TV shows months to maybe a year after the series run. If you want to watch the current season of a TV show, your best chance is with Hulu / Hulu Plus.

If your sister is a fan of "Arrested Development", Netflix is producing a new season of the show, which is be exclusively available on Netflix. Their plan is to compete with HBO by producing their own series and movies.
