Today I had to go through a verification process with paypal because I disputed a charge last month. When will the limits on my paypal account be removed? I was hoping it would be immediately, but apparently not.

I think 30 days, not sure though. You can ask them though.

I think they have live chat. I know they have a number that they're very helpful with. I've used their number before. |

The absolute WORST customer service I have EVER experienced in my life from a large and visible corporation, bar none (and thats pretty extreme) was with paypal.
I needed to move just over a thousand dollars through paypal. Everything I was doing was 100% legal and legit, but somehow I triggered their security thing. I figured it was the total amount that triggered it, but they insisted it wasn't. I spent a total of 12 hours of my life over two days talking to over a half dozen people trying to resolve this problem, and they kept contradicting each other. They also kept insisting that they had found the problem, told me to try it again, and that they were absolutely certain that it would work - only that I would have to wait a period of time (which varied from 30 minutes to several hours) to see it work. I was taking notes the whole time, and trying really hard to figure out what was really going on - I needed that transaction. It eventually became clear that NONE of the people I was talking to had any understanding whatsoever of how their system actually works - they were just puking up words from their script that they didn't themselves understand. When I started asking questions about what was going on, what things meant, whether they were certain of this aspect or another, it seems to me that they just started lying. I kept asking to be bumped up to the next level of customer service / tech support. Some would say "there is none", others would say "okay" and pass me to someone else who had no idea what they were doing. This was so horrible that I started using alternative methods for a few months. I guess I eventually forgot about it, until today, because yesterday I bought something on ebay and didn't even think twice when i clicked 'pay with paypal. |
