Well if you're saying it's already on the lowest setting then I don't know what else to tell you. You can try adjusting the contrast but I doubt that will help much.

Oh geez
You can also try an anti-glare filter for the screen. I'd check online or at a Bestbuy or something. |

Your Pc has a brightness button or you went into the control panel and adjusted it?

If you already adjusted your monitor to the lowest brightness setting, the only other way would be with software. Many graphics cards come with software that can adjust brightness and color settings. Depending on the brand of graphics card, it should be some utility like Nvidia Control Panel, or ATI Catalyst Control Center, or Intel something or other. Look in the Windows control panel and see if you have icons for any of these

Assuming this is a Windoze 7 pc, press START and in the search box type DCCW . Form here you can calibrate your screen the proper way and not the dummies control panel.

You can buy something for your screen like msmyka said. Also, using your computer in the dark is not good for you. Turn some lights on to help drown out the brightness of the screen, it helps. |

Glad you found something that worked for you! I work on computers for a living and I've never seen that calibration utility. Good to know it's there if something like this comes up with a client. |

Sorry man, I don't calibrate my monitor often or anyone else's for that matter. I have a very nice computer thank you very much.... in fact, a few of them. I use them for my recording studio and HD video editing. Just because you know the command for Microsoft's software display calibration doesn't make you some computer genius. I'm just glad it helped Dubz here with his blinding light issue |
