Found this site awhile back and just browsed, finally decided to fill out my profile!

Is there actual chat, or way to see who's online, or if the profile is just old and forgotten?

There is one-on-one Instant Messaging.
When you use the Search function, their
'online' status will appear.
As it does on their profile.

When they enter the forums, you can
see their join date.
They are never forgotten because of the
unique system Mingle2 has for notifying
the member if they receive an email.

In other words, no matter the age of the
profile, or when last that member was here,
if you sent them an email, they are notified
right away.
They can still get right back to you.
