Upon my knees, I felt his brush. The hearthfire roared its anguished deaththroes. The air chilled, my vision gone. In the deep dark the hellion came close.Fingers curled in my hair, guiding me to his red rogue eyes. 'Archfiend or foe'? I whispered.

His answers breath crept down the nape of my neck. 'Firebrand' rasped he. The hearthfire exploded to life. Alone I sat upon my knees.
