Hopefully they got married in a "Community property" State and she can take the selfish loser for half of everything he's got.

That's pretty extreme just to have sex with someone

Why would someone marry a person just to have sex with them? I mean surely,if all he wanted was sex,he could have found it without getting married?

This is such a strange story when he could actually have went to a bar and picked up anyone for a one night stand...but he went way out for a one night stand. If she didn't know him very well and got married after a very short time, then I am sorry but she was pretty silly to marry him. I would have been asking all kinds of questions about why do you want to marry me.
There are way to many woman out there that will have one night stands with someone and I think this is just an extreme story!! |

I agree with everyone that this is an extreme story. However, in my opinion, if this had been one of my friends that I knew and trusted I would immediately assume that the man had just married her for a one time sex deal, saw her as a challenge since she was so strong in standing up for what she believed in.
Seeing that she wasn't going to change her mind about not having sex with him until she was married could have opened up a door for him to take this woman and have her as his conquest, and not only marrying her for sex but also completely breaking her strong will by divorcing her the next day. . . . Just an opinion. I do think there are some men so controlling that they get off by doing things like this. . . |

I wonder if she could sue him for fraud. She may be able to regain some respect. He took vow,s I assume, then had no intention of keeping them.

Nikāḥ al-Mutʿah (Arabic: نكاح المتعة "short-term" or temporary marriage) is
a fixed-term or short-term contractual marriage in Shia Islam. It is automatically dissolved upon completion of its term. Marriage in Islam, including the normal nikah Nikāḥ al-Mutʿah, is contractual. Mutah has the same rulings and Mahr ("dowry") as conventional marriage. All the rights are given to the contractual wife while she is within the contractual period. The mutah offspring have the same rights as the conventional marriage offspring. There are some basic rules and requirements which must be fulfilled for a justified Nikah al-Mutah; for example a virgin girl cannot contract a Mutah without permission from her father or grandfather. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nikah_mut%E2%80%98ah |
